ADOPTION EVENTS
APPLICATION ON FILE BEFORE WE CAN CONSIDER ANYONE FOR ADOPTION.  All applications
will be reviewed and references checked. Please know that we do require a home visit prior to adoption, to ensure that
the environment is right for that particular dog.

We do out of area adoptions, except for puppies under the age of 6 months; however, adoptive homes within a 200
mile radius will receive preference. Please be prepared to travel to get your new friend.

Adoption fees for dogs range between $250 and $400, based on breed, age and veterinary care. At a minimum, the
veterinary care includes spay/neuter, dentals (if required), microchip, heart worm test, as well as rabies vaccination.
When necessary we also provide special surgical procedures (tumor removals, hernias, luxating patella surgery, cherry
eyes, heart worm treatment etc).  These procedures can be extremely costly and often greatly exceed the adoption fee.

Adoption fees for cats are $125 and includes all vetting.

Candles for a Cause
Annie's Little Angels Humane Education & Small Breed Dog Rescue is dedicated to the rescue, rehabilitation, and
re-homing of abused, abandoned and neglected animals. As well as educating the public on animal welfare and the harsh
reality of the pet store industry. Comprised of dedicated rescuers, volunteers and foster homes, we are a privately-funded
organization, everything we do comes from our own pockets. We are not for profit 501c3 pending. Annie's Little Angels
works with small breed dogs and now cats! Small dogs do not handle shelter environments well. They can lash out in fear,
or shut down; causing them to be labeled un-adoptable as a result they are euthanized.

Annie's Little Angels rescue dogs on death row; from shelters and animal control facilities, owner surrenders as well as
retired
puppy mill dogs, the retired breeding stock from commercial breeding facilities. Many of these puppy mill are
extremely sweet and innocent. They are like a breed of their own. All in need of extra loving care. Once you foster or adopt
a puppy mill survivor you will become addicted. Being a part of their socialization and entrance into the world of family dogs
is one of the most amazing parts of rescue.

Our rescues live in foster homes, where they are part of a family. They are loved and rehabilitated prior to finding their
forever homes.  Our foster families keep our rescues on a high quality diet and encourage our adoptive homes to do the
same. Most of these dogs come from questionable backgrounds where their health and well-being was not a priority. Their
immune systems and little bodies have suffered from abuse and/or neglect. We believe that providing them with a healthy
start to their new life aids in the healing of their body, mind and soul.
